diabetic? Try cinnamon and stevia
Dr. Weil (www.drweil.com) recommended the following for diabetics to see how it helped their blood sugars: one-quarter teaspoon of cinnamon twice daily. (This does not mean that you stop diabetic medications and take cinnamon instead.) A diabetic patient of mine finds he can enjoy taking the cinnamon by adding a few drops of stevia. Stevia is a wonderful plant that has extremely sweet leaves. The sugars in the Stevia leaf are not absorbed by the body, so they do not add calories or raise blood sugar. Extractions of this plant can be bought in powder or liquid form in a health food store.
